Children of the Park

About Book

Children of the Park: Hallowed Ground is an autobiographical coming-of-age novel set in 1950s–1960s lower Manhattan. It follows eight-year-old Grayson Miller and the boys who find refuge in a small park between towering red-brick housing projects. In a world shaped by poverty but fueled by imagination, the park becomes their classroom, sanctuary, and proving ground—where brotherhood is formed, survival is learned, and childhood quietly shapes the men they will become.
